Envision Partners with Global Energy and Chemical Giant Sasol to Advance Green Hydrogen Development in South Africa

CHIFENG — On August 5^th, Envision Group ("Envision") has signed a strategic partnership with Sasol, a global integrated energy and chemical company, to jointly execute a green hydrogen system engineering design study for Sasol’s production facility in Sasolburg, South Africa.

The signing took place during an official delegation visit to Envision's Chifeng Zero-Carbon Industrial Park led by South Africa's Minister of Electricity and Energy, Dr. Kgosientsho Ramokgopa. The collaboration marks a major milestone in Envision's novel power system strategy across key African markets, providing a scalable decarbonization model for global emissions-intensive industries.

Under the agreement, Envision will leverage its full-stack capabilities across renewable power generation, battery energy storage, green hydrogen, and AI-driven energy management platforms. The study will focus on renewable power generation and the integrated system optimization of energy storage and electrolyzer. By tailoring the solution to local power supply constraints, market dynamics, and operational requirements, the partnership aims to formulate an optimized blueprint for cost-competitive, utility-scale green hydrogen production.

The study is set to be done within 2026, and will establish new technological pathways for low-carbon fuels and chemicals—including e-methanol and eSAF—while delivering critical technical and commercial inputs for future final investment decisions (FID).
