HAIKOU — On August 6th, Rockcheck FuturEnergy hosted a fleet delivery ceremony in Haikou, officially commissioning 40 hydrogen-powered cold chain trucks into frontline cold chain logistics operations across Hainan Province. Representatives from Haikou municipal government agencies, industry associations, and executive leadership from partner companies attended the event.

Marking a major milestone for Hainan's fuel cell vehicle technology demonstration project, the newly deployed cold chain trucks feature high-performance hydrogen fuel cell systems offering rapid refueling, extended driving range, and zero carbon emissions. Engineered specifically for Hainan’s high-temperature, high-humidity, and high-salinity marine climate, both the vehicles and their powertrains received targeted climate optimization. Additionally, the compartments feature precision temperature control to meet multi-category fresh product standards across both urban distribution and long-haul transport.
To support fleet operations, a complementary methanol-to-hydrogen generation and refueling station was constructed on-site. By enabling localized hydrogen production and direct refueling, the integrated infrastructure effectively resolving the challenge of island hydrogen supply and strengthening Haikou's hydrogen infrastructure network
As China's first region to establish a clean energy roadmap across all vehicle segments, Hainan is advancing toward its goal of banning phase-out sales of fossil-fuel vehicles by 2030, with hydrogen energy designated as a strategic priority for regional industrial growth.
