MOREE, Australia — Trinasolar has been selected to supply photovoltaic (PV) modules for the Good Earth green hydrogen and green ammonia project near Moree, New South Wales, Australia. The development will serve as the state's inaugural commercial-scale green hydrogen and green ammonia production facility.

The project's dedicated 27 MW solar power plant will deploy Trinasolar's 510W and 515W Vertex S+ modules, which feature the company's proprietary n-type i-TOPCon cell technology alongside a heat-resistant, toughened dual-glass design.
To ensure a continuous power supply for the facility’s 15 MW alkaline electrolysis system, the site will integrate an existing 8.65 MW PV station with Trinasolar’s newly built 27 MW solar array, further supported by a 30 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
Construction is currently underway. Upon full operational capability, the facility is projected to yield up to 200 metric tons of green hydrogen and 4,500 metric tons of low-carbon ammonia annually. The initiative aims to displace imported fossil fuel-based fertilizers and significantly curtail emissions across local agricultural supply chains. Developer Hiringa Energy positions the project as a commercial pilot model for distributed hydrogen and fertilizer production that can be replicated across regional Australia.
The project secured state-level development approval in March 2026 following its financial close in July 2025, and is slated to enter commercial operations in early 2027.
