QUZHOU, Zhejiang — Zhejiang’s clean energy sector achieved a significant development milestone as the Zhejiang Green Methanol-Hydrogen Fuel New Energy Industrial Park Integrated Storage and Logistics Project officially cleared its regulatory filing, on the provincial online investment project approval portal. The facility will be constructed in Longyou, Quzhou, establishing a primary regional supply-assurance hub for methanol fuels.

According to government filings, the project received final clearance from the Longyou County Development and Reform Bureau on July 16, 2026. Construction is slated to take place on a site situated south of the Railway East Station within the Chengnan Logistics Park of the Longyou Economic Development Zone, Quzhou.
Project Overview
Project Developer: Zhejiang Saifu New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
Total Capital Expenditure: RMB 350 million
Target Construction Timeline: August 2026 – October 2027
Land Footprint: 50 mu (~8.2 acres) of self-owned industrial warehousing land
Positioned as the core storage and distribution hub for vehicle-grade methanol fuel in western Zhejiang, the facility will serve as an integrated industrial base encompassing intelligent warehousing, midstream blending, and trunk-line distribution. The project aims to bolster Zhejiang's regional methanol fuel supply network and support the commercial rollout of methanol-powered vehicles.
Key Infrastructure & Capacity Scope
The industrial park will concurrently deploy two major logistics and storage facilities:
The base will feature international-standard clean energy storage and processing equipment, covering the full midstream value chain including bulk storage, precision blending, and transshipment. Methanol fuels offer low-carbon, high-efficiency, and cost-effective advantages that align with national decarbonization targets, providing vast market applications across transportation sectors.
Upon completion, the project will resolve critical regional constrains in methanol fuel logistics across Zhejiang. Capitalizing on Longyou’s multimodal rail-logistics connectivity, the hub will extend its supply radius across central and western Zhejiang—enhancing clean fuel turnover efficiency and securing reliable fuel supplies for the wider adoption of methanol-powered heavy-duty trucks and passenger vehicles.
