Established in 2022, KMem Tech was founded by the joint project team of Tan Kah Kee Innovation Laboratory, which is a high-tech enterprise focusing on Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM), integrating research and development, production, and sales, and providing core products and professional solutions for the AEM new energy industry.
The company is engaged in AEM and its water electrolysis hydrogen production technology, and has obtained the key industrialization technologies of monomer, resin, AEM, membrane electrode, electrostack and system, and has independently developed and formed KMem® series of products with the core of AEM water electrolysis, including resin, membrane, ionomer, water electrolysis hydrogen production testing system and small-scalar electrolytic stacks.
The KMem® AM01 and KMem® AM02 series of anion exchange membranes based on full carbon backbone are currently marketed to the public, featuring high ionic conductivity, high mechanical strength and high chemical stability, of which the AM01 series of products are mainly targeted at fuel cells, CO2 reduction and other applications, while the AM02 series of products with vertical and horizontal dissolution rates of no more than 12% are specially developed for hydrogen production from water electrolysis.
At present, the company has built a production line for AEM with a width of 75cm and an annual output of 60,000 square meters, which effectively promotes the industrial development of AEM's hydrogen generation from water electrolysis.
The company will also continue to utilize its own technological advantages, relying on Xiamen University and Tan Kah Kee Innovation Laboratory which has an international first-class R&D platform, adhere to innovation, and continue to tackle technical difficulties, to provide high-quality AEM products and comprehensive solutions for hydrogen energy and other fields, and strive to become a global industry-leading new energy and new materials technology company with AEM as its core competitiveness.
