The plate is the core equipment of alkaline electrolyzer
The processing and manufacturing process of the plate is as follows: 1. Processing of the main plate (mastoid plate, nickel mesh); 2. Processing of pole frame; 3. Welding of main plate and pole frame; 4. Plate overall nickel plating; 5. Detection of plate coating.
The pole frame is made of carbon steel material base material by coil material, and then the tongue plate, liquid channel hole, liquid flow channel, airway hole and flow channel, positioning hole, sealing water line and other structures are processed on the pole frame.
Taking mastoid plate as an example, the raw material of the main plate is carbon steel (thickness is about 2mm), and the mastoid structure is manufactured on the main plate by stamping the die.
After processing the main plate and the pole frame respectively, the pole frame and the main plate are welded together through the tongue plate of the pole frame to form an integrated plate.
In the process of alkaline electrolytic water hydrogen production, 30wt%KOH solution is generally used as the electrolyte, and the temperature of the electrolyte is about 80-90℃. However, such a temperature and alkali concentration is just within the range of the carbon steel main plate prone to alkali corrosion. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out anti-corrosion treatment on the carbon plate of the electrolytic cell. At present, nickel-plated carbon steel mastoid plate is usually used to reduce corrosion, and electrochemical plating is currently used for overall nickel plating on the plate.
