As a key component of a hydrogen production system, the power supply plays a critical role in overall system efficiency and operational stability. For the joint test, SANY Hydrogen Energy provided the test platform, while Sineng Electric supplied the power supply unit. The validation was conducted with an electrolyzer operating as the actual load, allowing the equipment to be assessed under real-world conditions.

Test results showed that Sineng Electric’s 5.7 MW hydrogen production power supply performed well in terms of dynamic response, precise power matching and grid adaptability. Its operational performance and stability were validated through extended testing under real-world conditions. Following the successful validation, the unit will be officially designated as an approved power supply for the platform and will remain in long-term on-site operation.

Developed by SANY Group to support China’s dual-carbon goals, SANY Hydrogen Energy serves as the group’s core hydrogen energy platform. Its product portfolio comprises electrolyzers based on multiple technologies and a “3+1” balance-of-plant (BOP) product offering. These solutions support large-scale hydrogen production powered by wind and solar energy, as well as a range of applications in hydrogen-based chemicals, hydrogen metallurgy and hydrogen-powered transportation.

The successful test further demonstrates the performance of Sineng Electric’s power supply. Building on this achievement, the two companies plan to deepen their cooperation. The test platform will also remain open to the wider industry, enabling electrolyzer manufacturers using different brands and technology pathways to conduct on-site testing and performance validation. The resulting operational data will provide practical reference points for the hydrogen industry.
