Sungrow Wins Contract for 55 MWh Energy Storage System at Philippines' Barotac Solar Project

August 4 – Anhui Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC), has announced the selected bidder for the energy storage system (ESS) package of the Barotac 166 MWp Solar PV + 55 MWh Energy Storage Project in the Philippines. Sungrow (Hong Kong) Limited was awarded the contract.

According to the award notice, the contract value is RMB 53.54 million, equivalent to an average price of approximately RMB 0.973/Wh.

Project Overview

The Barotac project combines 166 MWp of photovoltaic generation with battery energy storage to enhance grid flexibility and renewable energy integration.

Project specifications include:

· PV capacity: 166 MWp (DC) / 117 MWac (AC)

· Energy storage: Two battery storage zones with a total planned capacity of 20.16 MW / 80 MWh 

· Phase I: 13.86 MW / 55.165 MWh 

· Future expansion: 6.14 MW / 25.075 MWh 

· Grid connection: 138 kV photovoltaic step-up substation
