CIMC Enric Holdings Limited has signed a cooperation agreement with the Administrative Committee of the Dongying Economic and Technological Development Zone, Datang Shandong Power Generation Co., Ltd., and State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company to jointly develop an integrated green methanol project in Dongying, Shandong Province.

The agreement was signed on July 22 during a ceremony held in the Dongying Economic and Technological Development Zone. Yang Xiaohu, Executive Director and President of CIMC Enric Holdings Limited, attended the event alongside representatives from the three partner organizations.
Under the agreement, the partners will leverage Dongying's abundant wind and solar resources together with the industrial park's supporting infrastructure to develop an integrated green methanol project. The initiative will promote the production of green hydrogen, green ammonia and green methanol while supporting the growth of hydrogen-based energy and green chemical industries, helping position Dongying as a demonstration hub for the new energy economy.
CIMC Enric will contribute its engineering expertise in clean energy equipment, core process technologies and integrated industrial services. The company will provide the design and manufacture of key process equipment, including biomass gasifiers and methanol synthesis reactors, together with comprehensive engineering services ranging from process package design to EPC delivery.
The company will also leverage its capabilities across the hydrogen value chain—including hydrogen production, storage, transportation, refueling and end use—to support green fuel operations and international certification, helping establish an integrated value chain from production through commercial trading.
Datang Shandong Power Generation Co., Ltd. will provide renewable electricity for the project based on its experience in renewable energy development. State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company will support the project with reliable renewable power grid connection and electricity transmission services.
The partners also plan to establish a complete green methanol value chain in Dongying, covering production, certification, trading and bunkering applications. In addition, they will explore high-value biomass utilization and supply chain development while promoting localized manufacturing of hydrogen equipment.
CIMC Enric said the partnership will further strengthen its presence across the hydrogen-based energy value chain. The project is expected to support the development of an integrated industrial ecosystem encompassing biomass feedstock, renewable electricity, green hydrogen, green ammonia and green methanol production, marine bunkering services and green fuel trading.
